Decidedly Depressingly Back

The weather was horrible, but the trip was great. Some choice quotes from various parties:

“Hey look, a chain! Oh wait, its rabbit poop.”

“Isn’t it about time for you to fall again?” … 5 minutes later WHAM!

“I wonder what fucking Chinaman designed this shit.”

Anyways, the trip was a great escape from the bitter realities of college life. Nothing helps you forget how much work awaits your return better than some alcohol, some friends, some wilderness, 4 wheels, a little adventure, and a little idiocy.

A lot happens in 4 days. I’m way behind on my work. It isn’t going to be pretty few weeks. If ever I’ve needed my programming experience to come in handy, its now.

I realized I need to shave.

On a side note about the guessing game: I can’t give out the answer. The answer summarizes my thoughts on a subject that has been at the forefront of my mind for quite some time now. If you guess correctly, you’ll be rewarded with some of the fruits of my introspection, but they’re not of a type that I’ll reveal to everyone. Hence the contest.

WE NEED TO APPLY HIGHER PUBLIC CHARGES ON THE USE AND ABUSE OF OUR LAND AND NATURAL RESOURCES’-:in the above statement, Would not the mninig sector argue that a land and resource rent tax does way with a need for a carbon tax system, that a rent resource tax covers the lot, and is a licence to pollute and degrade land?

I’m reading, and will try to respond more often. But the feedback loop (comments, statistics, trackbacks) is a tricky thing. It operates at such lightning pace in the blogozoidosphere that in my own creative life I’m working (with middling success) to detach from it. It’s a quick emotional hit, but it vanishes just as quickly. I use the sloppy metaphor of calling it crack cocaine, but the cliche serves the function of helping me keep a cheerful distance so that I can focus on getting myself to the next video, post, project, song, whatever.I was recently pointed to (as I was engaged in a comment/response feedback loop), where a videoblogger posts brief creative mantras for himself.Mantra #1:Shut the fuck upandmake something.Keep posting each day. Welcome the feedback, but don’t rely on it for fuel. Post again with or without it.And give your mom my best. The boy still sleeps most nights under one of the blankets she gave him.

Nice work! Always good to see more of Yolandi’s bod, and less of Waddy’s ugly mug! Plus, it’s just an interesting composition (lots going on in that pic!) despite the gratuitous “satanic” stuff . Something I see they’re utilizing more and more (especially in the new vid), and which usually sells well (see Alice Cooper, et al)What I personally love about DA, is not any one particular element, but their spirit, their attitude, their ambition in using current tech and the interwebs, to blow it up. This, is exactly how you do it, and Waddy and YoL know it, and they caught a break by being featured on BB.Waddy tries to drop his uber-ghetto BS as often as possible, but it’s the artist in him that I find most interesting. (Waddy, stop trying so hard, you’re going to burn us out on the Ninja character.) Last chat vid they offered, where he and YoLandi are in some kind of caravan/trailer sharing a spliff, he says “f*cking” literally every other word, and it gets tiring. I also loved how YoLandi babbled something in Afrikaans, gives Waddy an air kiss-kiss, and he didn’t like it. Messed up his tough and cool (act.)Also interesting to see him pull in some genuine local rude boys, to add “authenticity.” Ah-oh, DA’s got a posse! The BoingBoing crowd “gets it,” both the art and the (contrived) outrage. You ain’t foolin’ this crowd, and/but we still love it! I was at a RoR Meetup last night, and the new vid was a hot topic, among us tech geeks.

It’s a very wise answer of Mr/s Snout. The first feiitlrty test commonly performed in order to diagnose the cause of male infertility is the semen analysis test. Any problems affecting sperm shape (morphology), sperm movement (motility), or sperm count will require a semen analysis test. The cost of infertility tests can range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars, depending on the sophistication of the required feiitlrty test.Good luck.
